Sam Bankman- Fried is well known for being a vegan, and that led to a different set of meals during his time in the Bahamas.

According to a report from the New York Times, prisoners at the Fox Hill prison usually ate a meal of unseasoned beef with rice for lunch. Dinner was often skipped and meals were often served in bowls that were not sanitary.

During his stay at Fox Hill, Bankman- Fried ate toast and jam for breakfast and greens and vegetables for lunch and dinners.

The New York Times reported that Mr. Bankman- Fried was treated royally.

Locals on the island refer to the prison as "Fox Hell" The prison's capacity was originally planned to be around 1,000 prisoners, but it now has 1,400 criminals. According to the report, the prison has limited running water that comes out in a brownish color, as well as violence at the hands of prisoners and guards.

According to the report, Bankman-Fried was housed in Fox Hill's medical wing with as many as five prisoners in a dormitory-style room that was under constant supervision.

While the prison conditions weren't as bad as they could have been for Bankman-Fried, they were bad enough for him to agree with US prosecutors to be extradited to the U.S., according to a person briefed on the discussions.

Doan Cleare told the New York Times that Bankman-Fried wasn't treated differently than other inmates.

Bankman-Fried was released from prison after posting a $250 million bail, and is currently living at his parents' house. Next week is when his next court date will take place.

Bankman-Fried's FTX lost billions of dollars of customer funds.
