Josh McDaniels is the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.

You know what I mean, that's not good enough. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal'sVincent Bonsignore, McDaniels responded to a question about Carr's recent performances. "For us to be able to win this time of the year and be productive, you have to throw the ball better than what we've thrown it at times here."

He wouldn't treat the quarterback position differently if he thought a change was necessary.

The coach thinks there is a chance that the team would do the right thing.

He refused to say that his starting quarterback wouldn't change before the end of the season.

His performance fell off quite a bit. Over the last five weeks, the three-time Pro Bowler has averaged 217.4 yards per game with nine touchdown and nine interception.

The chances that Carr will be replaced are not very high. The fourth-round pick has thrown for over 300 yards in 11 appearances.

It's damning for a player who signed a three-year, $121.5 million extension in the spring and is supposed to be the franchise quarterback.

The Raiders have an escape route thanks to Carr's contract. Cutting or trading him before June 1 would result in a dead cap hit of $5.6 million and save $29.3 million in salary cap space.

If Carr's slide continues over the last two games, the front office may consider that option.
