J.J. Watt is retiring after this season.

Kobe's first ever football game. My last football game was at the stadium. My heart is full of love and thanks. He posted a picture of him holding his son Koa and standing next to his wife Kealia at a football game.

Koa's first ever NFL game. My last ever NFL home game. My heart is filled with nothing but love and gratitude. It's been an absolute honor and a pleasure.

The Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers are the only two teams Watt has yet to play in.

He'll leave as one of the most dominant defensive players of his generation and a likely first-ballot Hall of Fame member. One of three players to be named the Defensive Player of the Year three times is Watt.

He won three awards while he was a player for the Houston Texans, the team that drafted him 11th overall in 2011.

After spending 10 seasons with the Texans, Watt will end his career with the Cards.

Watt's first child was a baby named Koa. Watt had the rhythm of his heart reset after he experienced a heart problem.

Watt is 26th on the NFL's career list with 111.5 sacks. He is the only player to have at least 20 sacks in a season.

Three other players have more sacks than Watt since he was drafted. He is first in forced turnovers and tied for third in fumbled balls.

Watt has at least two sacks in 28 of his 28 games.

He has five touchdown and 100 career sacks. Watt has had at least 15 sacks in four of the last five years, second only to Reggie White, who had five.

Watt, who is the career sack leader for the Texans with 101, is almost twice as many sacks as the next closest on the franchise's career list.

Among the 48 players with at least 10 pass breakups, Watt leads all of them with 28 pressures and is tied with Daron Payne for most sacks with 9.5.

Watt's impact was much more than the field.

He started his foundation when he was still a student. He said he wanted to raise $100,000.

Watt's foundation raised more than $37 million in the aftermath of Harvey. He had a goal of $200,000.
