The Dolphins lost to the Packers on Sunday and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has entered the concussion protocol.

Tagovailoa was placed into protocol after showing and admitting to having concussion symptoms. He isn't sure if Tagovailoa sustained the concussion initially or if it was the other way around. Tagovailoa has been put into protocol twice this season.

It's too early to name a starting quarterback for the Dolphins' game this Sunday against the New EnglandPatriots, but backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will take first team snaps while Tagovailoa is out.

"I just want guys to be done by the information we have, the science and all the medical expertise that we rely on." I care a lot about each and every player. I want him to be healthy and have peace of mind. It's about the person and making sure he's taken care of.

In Week 4 of the season, Tagovailoa was hospitalized after hitting his head on the turf. He missed two games and came back in Week 7.

Four days before the Cincinnati game, Tagovailoa was hit in the head. He remained in the game even though he showed concussion symptoms.

Any player who shows a concussion symptom, including a lack of balance or stability, will not be allowed to play the rest of the game.

It was the second time in his playing career that Tagovailoa was hospitalized for a football-related injury, including the displaced hip he sustained during his final season at Alabama.

He said that those kinds of things weighed more on his parents than he did. I just want to do good for our team, do right for this organization, do right for the guys inside the building that work really hard, that's what I want to do." All that is left is that. I like being here. The guys in the building make me happy. It really sucks when I can't do anything about it and help our team.

The Dolphins have lost four straight games and are currently the 7th seed in the playoffs. They can get into the playoffs if they win out or if the New York Jets lose one of their last two games.

The Dolphins play the Jets and the Pats in their final game of the season.
