Trump criticized McConnell over the recent passage of a bill that keeps the government funded through September.
"Mitch McConnell must have something really big on the Marxist Democrats in order to get him and some of his friendly 'Republican' Senators to pass the horrendous 'All Democrat, All the Way' bill," Trump wrote on his social media platform.
The House and Senate passed a bill last week to keep the government open. The legislation includes over a trillion dollars for non-defense domestic programs and over a trillion dollars for defense funding, which is an increase from the current levels.
The bill was supported by both chambers. McConnell was one of 18 Republicans to vote in favor of the bill.
McConnell said last week that the appropriations process would be different if Republicans were in charge. "But given the reality of where we are today, senators have two options this week: We will either give our armed forces the resources they need, or we will deny it to them."
The massive bill was blasted by Trump and a bunch of House Republicans, who argued that it shouldn't have been reached until after the GOP took control of the House. McCarthy called the bill a "monstosity" and a "shameful" act last week. Nine Republicans voted for it.
"If the Old Crow waited just 10 days, the Republican Majority in the House could have made the 'Ominous' Bill much, much, much better," Trump wrote. It wouldn't have happened if Trump were President.
McConnell's wife, Elaine, served as Trump's transportation secretary. COCO CHOW was so happy that it was a huge capitulation to China. The writer used a racial slur.
McConnell criticized the former president over the GOP's losses in the next election. McConnell said in an NBC News interview last week that Trump's political clout has diminished.
In an interview with NBC, McConnell blamed Trump for the Republican candidates who lost in key Senate races this year who were promoted by the president.
