Apple Watch Basics

Are you new to the Apple watch? If you want to learn how to use your device, we have some how-tos that will show you how to use it.

Tips for New Apple Watch Owners

1. Track Your Sleep

If you wear your Apple Watch to bed, it will show you how long you've been asleep, how much sleep you've got left, and your heart rate.

Apple enhanced the sleep tracking feature on the Apple Watch so that it can tell you how much time you spent in REM, Core, or Deep sleep, as well as how often and when you were awake.

You can set up Sleep Mode in the Health app if you follow our instructions.

  • How to Track Your Sleep With Apple Watch

You can tell your devices when you want to go to sleep and when you want to go to bed. You can change who can contact you in Sleep Mode using the Focus interface.

When you wake up in the morning, Apple will give you a summary of the notifications that you received, as well as the weather for the day.

The sleep data gathered by Apple Watch can be found in the Health app. How well you sleep one night compared to another night, and how consistent your sleep is from night to night will be provided by it.

If you wear your Apple Watch to bed, you can wake up with an alarm. If you sleep with a partner, you can use the Apple watch to wake you up.
