"Blue's Clues" star Steve Burns unlocked a memory buried deep when a cancer survivor visited him at a convention, it turned out they'd met two decades earlier thanks to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Brandon and Steve met for the first time at Steel City Con in Pennsylvania, 22 years after their first face-to-face.

It's neat. Brandon says he walked up to Steve's booth, shook the actor's hand and pulled out a picture of the 2 of them from 2000 -- back when Steve was a Make-A-Wish kid -- and it all clicked for him.

Brandon claims that Steve told him a story about their first meeting. Brandon was 4 years old when he met his favorite TV star.

They both started crying after Steve asked Brandon for a new picture. Brandon had stage 4 cancer in his kidneys and lungs when they first met, and now he is 25 with a family of his own.

Brandon says Steve hugged him and said, "This made my entire year and I'm so happy you're here."

Steve has made it clear how proud he is that Brandon is now a married man and a father.

Their Make-A-Wish experience back in the day included a shopping spree, dinner with Steve, and tickets to "Blue's Clues Live" in NYC.

The second meeting was sweeter than the first.
