Patrick Mahomes Heavily Favored in Week 17 NFL MVP Odds; Leads Peter King's Rankings

If Patrick Mahomes didn't win the league's Most Valuable Player award for the second year in a row, it would be a big deal.

In the latest update from DraftKings Sportsbook, the Kansas City Chiefs star is the heavy favorite to win the award with 500 odds.

Josh Allen is the second betting favorite with a score of 800. No one else has odds worse than +5000.

In his weekly Football Morning in America column, Peter King of NBC Sports says that the race is closer than he thinks, with Hurts as his second choice.

King said that Mahomes and Hurts were jockeying for position. It is very close. The last couple of weeks will be important.

King's top five also includes Allen.

An argument can be made that the Philadelphia Eagles' performance on Saturday without Hurts may have hurt his case for the award.
