According to sources, the Eagles are hopeful that Lane Johnson will return for the playoffs, but he will not play again this season because of a torn bicep.

The injury that Johnson sustained late in the fourth quarter of Saturday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys was confirmed by an exam.

Jack Driscoll took over at right tackle for the rest of the game. The Eagles have the option of moving Jordan Mailata over from left to right tackle to make room for a first-round pick next year.

Johnson left the game against the Giants with an abdominal strain. He did not carry an injury designation into the Cowboys game, despite being listed as a limited participant for a portion of practice.

Hurts missed Saturday's game with a shoulder injury and the Eagles are dealing with that as well. He is uncertain to play against the Saints in Week 17 according to league sources.

He started all 15 games for the Eagles this season and was selected to the Pro Bowl for the fourth time. He has not allowed a sack since the 11th week of the 2020 season.

The Eagles have the best record in the league at 13-2 and would win the division and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with another victory.
