Rhamondre Stevenson was spared for his late turnover that cost the team a chance to score a go-ahead touchdown in Saturday's loss to Cincinnati.

"I'm not going to second-guess Rhamondre on what he did," he said.

Hafmondre's ball security has been good all year. They knocked the ball out at the end because he had two hands on the ball.

During his WEEI interview, the coach was asked if there was concern that the miscue would affect Stevenson. Rhamondre is a good competitor. He's a great player. He will be ready to go.

Stevenson's progress might have been stopped on the key play because of the previous benching of running backs by the coach.

The runner needs to be controlled by the defense in order to progress, according to the referee. He has to be kept under control and have his feet taken away. He had his feet.

The second half was a disaster for the Pats, who were down 22-0 at the half.

Cincinnati was out of timeouts when they had the ball at the 5 yard line. When the Pats handed off to Stevenson on first-and-goal, they tried to score and control the clock.

Stevenson was stripped of the ball by Vonn Bell after being stood up by DJ Reader. Josh Tupou was able to recover.

Stevenson had not lost a fumbled ball since the first game of his career.

I was doing more than I was supposed to. He said after the game that it would have been better if the game had gone down.

On Sunday, the Dolphins and the Pats play a game.

They would make the playoffs by beating Miami and then defeating the Buffalo Bills on the road. Winning the last two games is the most direct path to the playoffs for the Pats.
