On the first day of the second Test at Melbourne, Green took five of Australia's six strikes.

At the end of the day, Australia was at 45-1.

Green became the second most expensive signing in the history of the Indian premier league when he joined Mumbai Indians for over two million dollars.

Sam was bought by Punjab Kings for over two million dollars.

Green said that it was cricket summed up. It's possible to have a slow start to the summer and then have a few days like this and you can get back into it. It's a very nice feeling.

After winning the toss and bowling, Australia reduced South Africa to 67-5 before a 112-run partnership between Kyle Verreynne and Marco Jansen

Verreynne was caught at slip for 52, and Jansen was caught behind for 59, as Green removed both of them in successive overs.

David Warner, in his 100th Test, ended the day with five not out, while Marnus Labuschagne was five not out.

Verreynne said that it wasn't the best day for the team.

It was the first time in the past couple of games that we had more soft dismissals than not and that is disappointing.

After beating South Africa inside two days on a green and hostile Gabba pitch in the first Test, Australia leads the three-Test series by a single point.
