The game should be described in two words Hill and Waddle looked similar to the two luxury sports car makers. Waddle and Hill combined for over 200 yards and a touchdown on nine catches. There wasn't much to say about the Dolphins outside of those two.
Tagovailoa excelled on the big play in the first half, completing 9 of 12 passes for 222 yards and a touchdown, including an 84-yard touchdown pass to Waddle. He looked sharper than he did at the beginning of December as the Dolphins continue to rediscover their offensive rhythm, but he threw an ill-advised pick in the fourth quarter that set up the Packers' go-ahead field goal. It was the first time in his career that he has thrown three straight turnovers in a game.
Overall, Tagovailoa finished with 310 passing yards and one touchdown, but he made enough mistakes to shoulder some of the blame for Miami's loss.
As of late, the Dolphins are good for at least one highly-explosive play per game. They have scored at least one touchdown of 60 or more yards in four of their last five games. It could be seen as a promising and troubling trend, but it's not usually sustainable. Over the past four games, the Dolphins have put together only two scoring drives that didn't involve an exciting play, such as a pass play of 20 yards or a rushing play of 10. The plays are still important, but Miami is not sustaining drives and has only five red zone trips over its past four games.
