One of the best values in gaming right now is the Xbox. If you pay a monthly subscription fee, you'll get access to a library of games that you can play at no extra cost.

A lot of the games that are available are brand-new exclusives or games that have been around for a while. With so many games to choose from, it can be difficult to find the ones that are worth your time.

Here is a short list of games for the Microsoft console.

Dragon Age: Inquisition

The games were brought to Game Pass through the partnership. Not only can you play the original Dead Space trilogy, just about every Battlefield game, and every Mass Effect game, but you can also play Dragon Age: Inquisition, one of the better Western games of the last decade. It has a decision system that makes your choices feel important.

Pentiment

Even though I didn't like Pentiment, I know how attractive the illustrated manuscript murder mystery could be for another person. In Pentiment, you will live the life of a journeyman artisan interacting with peasants, local craftsmen and the powerful church. You will make decisions throughout the game that will affect the lives and fortunes of those around you. I still couldn't stop myself from playing over 15 hours even though I wasn't as fond of Pentiment as other people.

Halo Infinite

After a rocky launch a year ago, it is finally in the right place. One of the most important Xbox exclusives is the shooter game that gave us the master chief. The game finally added The Pit to its map rotation with a recent update, as well as adding online co-op and the much-awaited Forge mode. Now is the best time to wait for the bugs to be fixed before you get into the game.

Persona 5 Royal

Dragon Age: Inquisition was one of the better Western games of the last decade. The best game of the last 10 years is Persona 5 Royal. You are fighting against evil, greedy adults in their Mind Palaces while juggling all the stress and anxiety of being a teenager. A colorful cast of friends, schoolmates, and more help you. Even though the game is turn-based, it still manages to be interesting because of the amazing music. I spent 90 and 120 hours in the same game. Is it the Pandemic? You will lose your life and heart to P5R now that the game is on Game Pass.

PowerWash Simulator

A power washer can be used to clean the side of a house or to draw pictures on the sidewalk. PowerWash Simulator is one of the quirkier sims. It feels less like a simulation of the power washer and more like a simulation of what it would be like to have a small business that doesn't sell anything.

The entire Yakuza omnibus

On Game Pass, you can play almost all of the Yakuza games. You don't need to know anything else. Right now, every game is available. I still need more convincing. Imagine a game about being a tough gangster prowling the bright but cramped streets of Tokyo's red-light district, beating on the bad guys while also providing sex-positive advice to sex workers while getting your real estate business off the ground. That is the kind of bag you get with a game. The action was hilarious and emotional.

Umurangi Generation

When you give a bunch of teens a camera at the end of the world, Umurangi Generation is a chilling game. If the pokémon you're snapping are the last remnants of the human species, then it's like Pokemon snap. You're given a camera with instructions on what to take, and then you're allowed to do different things. The players are free to explore, snap pictures and learn about the alien threat that is coming to end the world. Umurangi Generation is a sad, scary, and depressing game that asks us to confront the very real reality humans face as the world slowly but surely burns.

Titanfall 2

Six years after it was released, the game is still on the best-of lists. Would you like to play a game that has some emotional content? There is a sequel to the game Titanfall. Do you want to befriend the best mecha murder machine? There is a sequel to Titanfall. Do you want to play one of the best levels in the game? You got it, it's the second one.
