I have always wanted to be a part of theColonial Marine Corps. The weapon they had was even cooler than the one used in Aliens. One of my favorite weapons is the M41-A pulse blaster. When I saw Nerf make one, I bought it quickly.

I waited until the holidays to open it because I don't get to open toys on Christmas in my 40's. I think the results are mixed after testing it out. We are going to dive into Nerf Lmtd's M41-A pulse blaster.

The website, package, and instruction booklet all tell you that C batteries are required, but they don't tell you that the main gun doesn't fire without them I would have to circle back because no one has C batteries in the house.

It's possible that these should have been shot on a different surface. You can either fire one round at a time or hold thetrigger down and fire all 10 in a row. I shot the 10 rounds at the side of my house.

How long does it take to fire a round?

Yes, that's right. The 10 rounds take three seconds to be unloaded. I stopped and started. It is possible that it may be less. It is incredibly cool but soon will be over.

I timed myself in every round. It took a long time. Not good, but not terrible.

The pulse rifle is cool. That the display works, and that it has awesome sounds and two types of bullets, made me feel like I was in a war zone, even for a short time.

This isn't a toy you're going to play with. There is a display piece. Something once in a while. It's less successful for that. The stand should be easy to use. Which batteries? It is very annoying. Shouldn't AA orAAA be included? People have something in the house.

There's no power button, the worst part. The display stays on when you finish. The batteries need to be taken out to make it go off. You need to grab the batteries and screwdriver when you play with it. It was very frustrating.

It is nearly worth it for those three seconds.
