The first Christmas Day game in franchise history will feature the debut of Ja Morant's first signature shoe.
Not a lot of guys have been able to get a signature shoe from Nike. It is a big milestone for me and something I will never forget.
The Golden State Warriors play the Memphis Grizzles at 8 pm on ABC. There is an hour and a half later. Morant will be releasing a bright blue sneaker with gold, pink, lime green and red.
On Christmas Eve, he teased the debut by posting on social media a present from his daughter, wrapped in a repeat pattern. His daughter's name is written on the inside of the shoe.

Morant will debut the Nike Ja 1 early, with the shoe not expected to be in stores until later in 2023. There are several different colors on retailer launch calendars. The shoe is going to cost $110.
Morant said that the most important thing was telling a story. "Obviously, finding ways to have my fans and people who support me have access to Ja and see what happens in my life and what I'm about." It was crazy to combine that with Nike.
Morant will be the 23rd NBA player to receive his own signature sneaker. In the last few years, the last two to launch their own shoes were Paul George and Kyrie Irving. According to the brand, Morant is "Nike Basketball's first Gen Z signature athlete," and recently featured the Memphis star in its 50th anniversary campaign.
Nike's VP of global men's basketball said that Morant is a revolutionary player who quickly became a global star. His genuine personality, deep love for his community and family and joy for the game make him very special. Morant has joined our signature roster and we can't wait for everyone to learn more about his first shoe, the Nike Ja 1.
The sneaker has a mesh and leather upper with a reinforced support panel on the forefoot. His logo can be seen on the tongue tab. The player's rise as an overlooked player from South Carolina and a family slogan of the Morants are represented by the stylized fonts above a chevron.
