After the woman was hired as a tie rod inspector at Enforge, several of the men she worked with began harassing her.

She worked seven days a week from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and was subject to lewd comments, threats and unwanted touching.

She was told she would feel better if she had sex with the men.

She spoke out against the harassment and asked her co-workers to stop but it wasn't enough. The EEOC said that complaining to the company's management was unsuccessful.

The woman ends up getting fired

In October 2020 one of the male employees who officials said had groped the woman was promoted to lead the assembly line she was stationed at.

The employee was accused of exposing his genitals to the woman while she was taking a break.

The woman immediately reported this to a supervisor and then to a production manager.

The complaint says that the manager told her to take some time off and to call him the next day.

The production manager didn't pick up the phone when she fired her.

Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 states that the worker was denied equal job opportunities.

Employers should respond to harassment instead of retaliating against employees who complain.
