Goldberg said her style helps her avoid being criticized for being older.

Goldberg talked about her age in an interview with The Times of London. The actor who produced a film about the murder of Emmett Till is known for her eclectic androgynous fashion sense.

In recent years, her outfit choices have made headlines, from the ruffled purple gown she wore to the 2021 Met Gala to her decision to wear zebra-striped Crocs to New York Fashion Week.

Goldberg said in an interview with The Times of London that her sense of style has allowed her to get older without being talked about.

She said she didn't have the same issues as an actress. I don't have to think about it. My stuff is going to fall, but I will be okay. My chest is going to do what it's supposed to. I can age as I please.

Goldberg avoided sexual harassment in the beginning of her career in Hollywood because she was dressed androgynously.

Goldberg said that no one was going to chase him. They were afraid of me because I was black, and no one knew what I would say. They decided to thank God that they might not go in that direction with her.

Goldberg had negative experiences with her looks in Hollywood.

She said in the early days of her career that producers would grab her hair and ask what they were going to do with it.

I would tell them to get their hands out of my hair. She said that she would upset people. I didn't understand why they were upset.

She had a mentor that helped her through those times. She said she used to turn to Sidney Poitier early in her career.

Goldberg said she could call him and grieve. I wouldn't understand how to talk to them. He would say that they don't have the same information as you and that you are trying to talk to them as your equal.
