In Saturday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the offensive struggles that have plagued the New England Pats throughout the 2022, doomed them once again.

After the game, Bill Belichick was asked if he deserved the blame for the team's struggles, and he said he was the head coach.

New England was held to three first downs in the first half and didn't score a point. The first 30 minutes of the game saw the Pats accumulate 44 penalty yards and total 70 yards of offense. The team didn't move the ball past the middle until late in the third quarter.

Mac Jones threw for two scores and no turnovers. The team ran the ball just 16 times for 61 yards in the game.

After scoring two fourth-quarter touchdown, the Pats had the chance to win the game. Things were looking up when Marcus Jones recovered a fumbled ball by Ja'Marr Chase.

Rhamondre Stevenson lost the ball on the next possession. After five plays, New England turned the ball over on downs.

New England's chances of making the playoffs took a hit after they fell to 7-8.
