A severe winter storm in Florida forced four strangers to join forces and drive more than 16 hours from Florida to Ohio.
According to WEWS, the trip took 18-19 hours instead of 16 due to the flight cancellation.
Almost 2,000 flights were canceled on Christmas Eve as a result of the winter storm that hit parts of the US.
The first of nine videos about the trip with Greg Henry, Shobi Maynard, and a woman was uploaded on Friday.
Schuster's first video, which had over 8 million views as of Saturday, states that the group rented a car after their flight from Florida to Cleveland was canceled.
The earliest flight they could get us on was Christmas Eve.
Schuster shared updates on TikTok as the four of them traveled in a rental car, including a stop at a burrito joint. Schuster told her followers that bad weather was making it hard to get to Virginia.
Schuster wrote an email at 6:28 am. The storm isn't looking good for us.
Three hours and five minutes were left for the group to reach their destination when the next video was posted. The group was almost out of West Virginia and heading towards Ohio.
In the sixth video, the group appeared to run into the center of the storm. A passenger makes snow angels in a gas station parking lot while others shop inside. According to Cleveland.com, bad weather hit the area on Friday morning.
There is an update in Ohio. They stopped for gas and coffee Schuster wrote that the time was 7:25 am. The time is 2 hours and 6 minutes.
Schuster told her followers that the "roads aren't great" and that their time was increasing.
The group made it to Cleveland at 8:45 a.m. on Friday.
Everyone has followed along on the journey. She captioned the post "reading everyone's comments and seeing everyone cheering for us was the highlight of this trip."
Schuster did not reply immediately. Her videos have been viewed over 10 million times.
Henry said he was checking different airlines after his flight was canceled. Two men ran into two other people who were trying to go to Cleveland.
Henry said his travel mates were a bit leery. I don't think they'll come with me because we don't know each other.
Maynard told Insider that after his flight was canceled, he was "bummed out" but that the group made many memories. Maynard liked seeing TikTok users reacting to their journeys.
It was great to see so many people cheering for us to make it home safely, and it made us feel good. Maynard made a statement.
Maynard's father was able to find another flight before the trip started.
Maynard said that his father found a flight that could have gotten him home sooner. I thought that driving with complete strangers sounded like a wild adventure and I was down for it. So off we left!
He said that they were thankful to be back home and to have the adventure.
