Hearing about a game you have never considered playing can be a pleasant surprise. It could be that what you hear catches your attention for a few days, then you decide to play the game. The trailer for the upcoming animated series for Ark: Survival Evolved made me think of that.
The series was announced all the way back in 2020 during the Game Awards. The basic setup seems to be that a modern day paleontologist ends up on a planet filled with prehistoric creatures and warring humans. I am not sure how much of the trailer is true to the games, but the cast is surprisingly stacked, and the show looks good. If I said this trailer didn't interest me enough to check out the original game or its sequel, I would be lying.
The Ark from the studio Wildcard is a game set in a world with dinosaurs and mythical monsters. The original game is so popular that Sony and Microsoft paid millions of dollars to keep it on their subscription platforms. The final expansion of the game, Ark II, starring Diesel and Auli'i Cravalho, is in the works and will be available for Early Access on the XBOX Game Pass.
Ark: The Animated Series will be arriving on a streaming platform in the year 2023.
