According to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the officials missed a pass interference call at the end of the New York Giants' win over the Washington Commanders.

There was no flag thrown when the Giants tried a 4th-and-9 from the Commanders' goal line with less than a minute left in the game.

The chance of a comeback was ended by the incomplete pass.

There should have been a flag for pass interference according to league sources.

The referee said that pass interference is a judgement call. The officials didn't call it a restriction because it didn't rise to what they thought was a restriction. The bottom line is that. They didn't think it was pass interference.

Washington would have had a first down from the 1-yard line if the play had been called correctly. The Giants only had to kneel twice for the victory.

Two plays after Brian Robinson's touchdown was called back because of an illegal formation, the call was missed. The wideout confirmed after the game that the replays showed he was lined up correctly.

Ron Rivera said after the game that he couldn't answer questions about the referees.
