You feel like a kid when you're floating in an inner tube down a river. As an adult, I think it's more fun when the pool waiter gives you a drink. Villa La Valencia Beach Resort is an all-inclusive resort that opened in Los Cabos early this year and it knows how to foster fun.
The all-suite Villa La Valencia opened early this year with more than 300 units overlooking the Golden Beach. One of the best features of the resort is the longest lazy river in Los Cabos. The pool area is special due to the different vibes created by Villa La Valencia.
There is a gem on the Baja Peninsula.
There is a pool for adults only. The family-friendly pool is located in the center of the resort and is close to the beach and the pool restaurant and swim-up bar. The social heart of the resort is the pool spaces, with groups of friends, couples and solo travelers mingling over frozen drinks and taking in the ocean views. If clients prefer quiet time at the pool, they can start at the adults-only pool and then move to the infinity pool after 5 p.m.
The other areas of the resort shine. The suites are spacious and clean. Most of them have a partial ocean view.
The longest river in Los Cabos is the lazy river. Meagan drillinger is pictured.
There is a one-bedroom suite ocean view that can accommodate up to four adults. There is a sofa bed and a private balcony in the suite. The high-end rooms are the homes. The suites have a Jacuzzi terrace and a chef and butler service.
Guests eat well at Villa La Valencia. The restaurants are great. I ate at this restaurant two times during my stay at the resort. It's like a really good steak at a resort, with great cuts of meat with all the sides. The spicy tuna tostada and onion soup are must haves.
There is a new rewards program for travel advisors.
I had a good meal at El Patron but it wasn't as good as the ones I had at Latitud. I think I made a mistake ordering. I persuaded one of the women I was dining with to let me have a bite, and they were great. There are three restaurants that specialize in seafood and Spanish cuisine. I didn't get to eat there.
There are two options for guests at the resort: an all-inclusive plan or an Epi plan. The food was great and I would recommend the all-inclusive plan. If guests are staying long-term, higher-category suites have kitchens. It is worth it.
There is a spa at Villa La Valencia. The fitness center is open all the time.
Villa La Valencia has lots of things to do. They include everything from barbecues to yoga for kids, DJ beach parties, pool parties, ping pong tournaments, salsa lessons, family movie nights and so much more.
Guests can limit their activities to sip drinks at the pool. There is always that lazy river.
