The Boring Company's chief executive slept with his partner and baby at the company's headquarters.

Steve Davis and his partner were in the San Francisco office when Steve's baby was born.

After Musk asked for his help, Davis spent the past two months working for the micro-blogging site. He was one of the first people to sleep at the office.

His partner, a real estate asset manager, sat in on meetings while nursing their baby to talk about the real estate situation on social media.

Davis was president of The Boring Company by the end of the year. He owned a bar and yogurt store that he sold for $1.

A photo of his manager asleep on the office floor with an eye mask, cushion and sleeping bag was sent by an employee of the social networking site. When your team is pushing around the clock to make deadlines sometimes you need to sleep where you work.

Musk told staff in an email that they would need to work long hours at high intensity or quit.

The space in the San Francisco office was converted into bedrooms, according to Forbes. Photos of the converted conference rooms show the rooms with TV screens, chairs, desk and a lamp. A person has a washing machine.

The building's use was being investigated by the San Francisco Department of Building Inspection.
