DJ Uiagalelei Reportedly Expected to Transfer to Oregon State from Clemson

DJ Uiagalelei is expected to transfer to Oregon State, according to Pete Thamel.

The 11-2 Tigers have a date with the Tennessee Volunteers in the Orange Bowl on December 30. He had 955 rushing yards and 7 scores.

It was a marked improvement from the year before, when he completed just 55.6% of his passes for 2,246 yards, nine touchdown and 10 pick ups. He threw for 6.0 yards each time.

"Uiagalelei's performances ran hot and cold this season, and he was temporarily benched for a freshman backup."

After Uiagalelei started 2-of-5 for 10 yards, the head coach switched to another player.

Klubnik entered the game and played well, completing 20 of 24 passes for 281 yards and a touchdown as well as 30 rushing yards and another score in the win. The Orange Bowl will be started by Klubnik.

Uiagalelei is a great talent. The 10th overall prospect in the 2020 class is a pro-style quarterback.

The sharp move for Uiagalelei, who joins an Oregon State program on the rise, seems to be due to the fact that Klubnik seems to be favored to start for Clemson. In the Las Vegas Bowl last weekend, the 14th-ranked Oregon StateBeavers defeated the Florida Gators 30-3.

Oregon State had two centers this year. Nolan, who suffered a neck strain and entered concussion protocol, has entered the transfer portal.

The third-year freshman took the bulk of the snaps and completed 62.4 percent of his passes for 1,455 yards.

They are expected to return next season. The high school senior is expected to sign with OSU later in the month.

Uiagalelei may have the upper hand on the QB1 role as Oregon State looks to improve upon its excellent 2022.
