The desire to add new places to the bucket list is a hazard. Many of us already have something in mind for the year 2023, as our travel plans are vast, varied and ever changing. We're going to travel next year.

I booked a trip to the Canary Islands in January because Dublin's summer seems to be a long way off. There are amazing hiking trails on the island. I am not sure if I will manage Pico del Teide, Spain's highest peak, but there are plenty of less challenging routes that could help kick-start my new year fitness regime.

Vietnam has been on my travel list for a long time, but I have been waiting for the right time to go. I will finally visit the country this year when I promise to find a new favorite dish.

We are saving up for our honeymoon to Greece in 24 years, so we are going to take a few smaller trips in the future. We are hoping for another trip to North Carolina, which is close to us. It is one of our favorite things to do in the fall.

I was supposed to go to Morocco before the Pandemic hit, but I haven't gotten around to it. This year might see a weekend break in Marrakesh. It's just a three-and-a-half-hour flight away from Dublin, so no excuses. I am hoping to visit one of the quieter Canary Islands after going to England for a music festival. The Grand Egyptian Museum is expected to open in 2023. Who knows where I will end up in the new year.

My cousin is getting married in Mumbai in January and I am going there for three days of celebration, family and a lot of food. I am going to explore the city, take a day trip or two, and just be in discovery mode.

My dad, sister, fiancée and I are going to New Jersey to see Bruce Springsteen in July, and we are going to spend five days in Lake Como before the concert. We probably will add another European country.

A country in Europe. I have never been, but there are a lot of wonderful night-train options to take from points west like Vienna and Budapest. The new King Charles III has a holiday rental in the country.
