Users report Google Calendar bug creating random, fake events

Several users have reported an odd glitch in the calendar app. The app seems to be creating all-day events based on the contents of users' email.

Emails such as delivery notifications, purchase receipts, and newsletters seem to be showing up as all-day calendar events according to 9to5Google. This glitch is affecting some staffers who use the calendar app. One writer said it was like finding a bomb in his calendar.

A request for comment has not been replied to.

If you want to stop this from happening, the simplest solution is to turn off the show events from Gmail in your calendar. If you want to keep invitations off of your calendar, this is a good way to go.
