The Jets' wide receiver coach was suspended by the league for violating the gambling policy. The suspension was for a long time.

There is no confirmation that Austin bet on football games or that he bet on other sporting events.

A statement from Austin's lawyer, Bill Deni, was shared by KPRC 2 Houston. The punishment is being appealed by Austin.

Within the last year, there have been two notable suspensions for gambling related offenses. Calvin Ridley was banned from football for at least the next two seasons after he bet on games.

Austin joined the New York staff in 2021. They worked together when Austin was an offensive quality control coach.

The receiver's have been tasked with helping to develop a group that includes a second-round draft pick and a first-round pick.

After requesting a trade in October, Moore's future with the team remains unclear. Wilson is leading the team in three major receiving categories and looks like a long term piece of the passing game.

Austin was a player in the National Football League for 10 years. He was named a Pro Bowler with the Dallas Cowboys in 2009 and 2010 after catching 361 passes for 5,272 yards and 37 touchdown.
