According to sources, the BlueJays and the D-backs are close to a deal that will send Varsho to Toronto in exchange for Gabriel and Lourdes.

Varsho played in center field and right field and hit 27 home runs. Varsho was one of the four young left-handed-hitting outfielders that the D-backs had.
He is a top 10 baseball prospect because of his bat-to-ball skills and throwing ability.
Alejandro Kirk and Danny Jansen are already at catcher for the BlueJays. The desire for a left-handed bat to complement the lineup of right-handed hitters was clear.
The BlueJays will have one of the best defensive outfielders in baseball with the signings of Springer, Varsho and Kevin.
Gurriel has been with the BlueJays for five seasons and has hit.289/.343/.400 this year. He will become a free agent after the 2024 season.
