The videographer told HuffPost that it's rare to see a wolf chasing an animal in a national park. The video can be watched below.
Bo Welden, a guide for Jackson Hole Eco Tours, told The Huffington Post on Thursday that it was rare to see wolves in an entire hunt over a quarter mile.
The wolf gave up and returned to the pack because they weren't good at chasing their prey in water.
The power of both animals and to see them firing on all cylinders was awe inspiring.
The result of the chase was predictable.
Wolves fail in the hunt around 80% of the time, which is contrary to the stereotype of them killing all the time.
Not to mention that the animals are very fast.
Last week, welden shared the clip as a favorite moment. There were multiple outlets reporting on it.
Welden wants nature lovers to remember to stay at least 25 yards away from moose, bison, bears and wolves.
