According to sources, the San Francisco Giants are going to sign outfielder Michael Conforto to a two-year, $36 million contract.

The opt-out is included in the contract, according to sources.

Conforto had shoulder surgery in April and was unable to play for the Giants. He became a free agent after he turned down the New York Mets' offer.

Carlos Correa, a high-profile client of Scott Boras, signed a 12-year, $315 million contract with the New York Mets. A previous 13-year, $350 million deal with the Giants fell apart earlier this week after the New York Post reported there was a "difference of opinion" about the physical of Astros outfielder Carlos Correa.

In his first seven seasons in New York, Conforto was a.255 hitter with 132 home runs, ................ Confor He was the only one on the All-Star team that year.

He decided to have surgery after sustaining an injury while training.
