New Zealand v England: Stuart Broad returns to squad for two-match Test series

The two-test series in New Zealand will be Stuart Broad's return to the England squad.

The seamer missed the recent win in Pakistan due to the birth of his child.

Mark Wood, who was the youngest man to take a five-wicket haul on Test debut, is not in the squad.

The first test will be in New Zealand.

There is no place for Yorkshire's Bairstow as he continues to recover from a broken leg.

After making his Test debut against New Zealand in June, Potts took 20 wickets in five appearances, but was not considered for the Pakistan tour.

The second Test will take place in Wellington.

Ben Foakes is in the England squad for the New Zealand Tests.

The 18-year-old will join up with England's white-ball team in Bangladesh in March if he makes it to the T20 League in January.

Liam Livingstone, who suffered a knee injury on his debut in the first Test, was not included in the squad.

The start of the series marks the beginning of a big year for England's Test side, which will face Australia in the summer.

After the two matches in New Zealand, England will play one more Test against Ireland in June before the start of the Ashes.

They will look to keep their winning ways going under the leadership of captain Ben Stokes and their coach, who have guided England to nine wins from 10 Tests since taking charge last summer.

They have won home and away series against New Zealand, South Africa, and India, as well as a clean sweep in Pakistan.
