According to a staff guide obtained by The Daily Beast, Sen. Sinema has a long list of requirements for her staff.

Sinema's assistant was told to ask her in Washington at the beginning of the week if she needed groceries, according to the guide. The chief of staff of Sinema would have to be contacted by the assistant to make sure this was done.

Sinema was told to have a "room temperature" bottle of water at all times and to get a weekly one-hour massage. If the internet service in the senator's apartment went out, the guide told staff to call the phone company.

The guide's contents were not verified by Insider.

According to the document obtained by The Daily Beast, the senator should not be disturbed outside office hours.

According to the document, "Do not schedule anything, ever, outside of regular work hours without first getting Kyrsten's permission." Asking if it's a big deal is the only way she will agree to work outside the regular hours.

According to the Daily Beast, it had seen the document in its entirety, but warned that it could be a few years old. The outlet was able to corroborate the document's truth.

According to a representative for Sinema, the information is not in line with official guidance and does not represent official policies of the senator.

Sinema doesn't require staff to do personal things.
