The door is still open for a return to the NFL for Rob Gronkowski.

On Wednesday, the legendary tight end teased a partnership with FanDuel, which he later announced.

Rob Gronkowski @RobGronkowski

I'm kinda bored 😐…

Two teams were interested in those three words. On Up & Adams, he said that he heard from a couple of teams asking if he was going to come back.

When asked if either of the teams was the New England Pats or the Buccaneers, he remained tight-lipped.

Although he retired from the NFL this summer, he only retired for one season. You would not allow him to get the itch to play again at a late point in the campaign.

He was an effective option in his second year with the Buccaneers. He caught over 800 yards and six touchdown passes.

The old Gronk, who was arguably the most dominant tight end in history, is never going to return.

All signs point to him staying retired this time.
