I will have more information tomorrow, but it appears that the award costs have gone up without notice. The Skywards mileage calculator hasn't been updated yet, so you can see how pricing has changed, but the award pricing has already been loaded into the schedule. It would appear that the cost of first and business class awards has gone up by 20%. Washington used to cost 136,250 miles one way in first class, but now it costs 163,500 miles. It used to cost 85,000 miles one way in first class, but now it costs 102,000 miles. Business class has the same pattern. One-way in business class used to cost 72,500 miles, but now it's 87,000. That is not a great gift from the airline. Do you think this is a good thing? What are the trends you're observing?
