According to a report from a basketball source, the Phoenix Suns turned down a trade offer for Jae Crowder from the Washington Wizards.

According to the report, the Suns wanted a starting caliber player in return for Crowder.

Hachimura isn't a good fit for the Suns.

In the past two years, the 24-year-old has mostly been demoted to the bench for the Wizards, but this season he is shooting 48.1% from the field and 33.0% from three.

In his first two seasons with the team, Hachimura made 105 starts and averaged over 30 minutes per game. Kyle and Deni Avdija have been preferred to Hachimura.

Hachimura had a bone bruise in his ankle and missed a month. The inability to consistently stay on the court has limited the fourth year player's upside during his career.

The Suns are in dire need of depth on the wing after the departure of Crowder and the injury to Johnson.

As the team's starting small forward, Mikal Bridges is locked into place, as is the rest of the team's roster.

If the Suns want to make a title push, they need to get another quality player in exchange for Crowder. It's not ideal that the veteran is away from the team, but the Suns haven't gotten the kind of offer they want.
