Stephen A.: Lamar should cut ties with the Ravens (2:17)

Stephen A. Smith explains why Lamar Jackson should sign somewhere other than Baltimore. There is a time and a place for it.

Without Lamar Jackson, the Baltimore Ravens will have to try to get into the playoffs.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed Thursday that Tyler Huntley will start at quarterback in place of the injured Lamar Jackson.

There was some question about Huntley's availability after he was limited in Wednesday's practice with a shoulder injury and did not throw during the media viewing window, but he was back throwing at Thursday's practice.

Harbaugh shook his head and said he had no concern with Huntley's shoulder.

Huntley said that the shoulder issue is similar to what he experienced in the spring. Huntley said his shoulder felt great after the practice.

Huntley said it was a bit sore. They're handling it.

There was hope that Jackson would return this week, but he didn't. He injured his knee in the first quarter of the Broncos game.

Jackson has not started a game in the last two years.

Baltimore has been held to 16 points or fewer in three straight games for the first time in over a decade. The Ravens haven't scored a touchdown in their last 7 quarters.

Huntley said that they have to put it all on the line to get a touchdown. It's all that matters.

The Ravens can get into the playoffs by the end of the weekend. Baltimore can seal the deal with a win over Atlanta and at least one loss by the other three teams. If all the other teams lose, the Ravens can still make the playoffs.

In three games this season, Huntley has completed 70.3% of his passes for 413 yards, with no touchdown and two picks. Huntley and Mike White have not thrown a touchdown since Week 13

The game against the Falcons could be one of the most cold games in Ravens history.

"We know going into the game that it's going to be conditions, so I don't think it's going to have much of an effect," Huntley said. We just need to be ready to play football at the end of the day.
