Google is adding another layer of testing for Chrome updates

A new early preview of updates will be available via the Stable channel for a small group of users starting in February 2023. One week before the stable release date, this early stable release will be available, which will allow the company to address any reported issues before they are rolled out to the public.

In order to push updates to the Canary channel first, a version of the browser used for testing unstable code must be installed. Between the final stable release and the new early stable release, there are issues that slipped through other phases.

The first version of the browser will be the new version. The early stable version of chrome will be pushed to the early stable version on February 1st after it is released for a limited time for testing. February 7th, 2023 is the new release date for the stable release of Chrome v-110.
