Air Saint-Pierre’s Paris flights

The domestic route was launched in the summer of last year. Air Saint-Pierre marketed a Boeing737-700 between Paris and Saint Pierre.

What is the name of Saint Pierre and Miquelon. It is a territory of France located in the northwestern Atlantic Ocean. The islands have a population of just over 6000 people.

Air Saint-Pierre only has turboprops, which aren't able to operate the route. The airline leased a plane to fly once a week.

We have never seen a nonstop link between these territories and France. The route was interesting because of some other things.

• The runway in Saint Pierre is only 5,900 feet long, so the plane had to be weight restricted, meaning the flight could only transport at most 100 passengers (that means most passengers get an empty middle seat)
• I had intended to take this flight in 2018, but was shocked to find out that the flight was sold out on almost every single date that it operated; I wasn’t expecting that, especially given that the route was subsidized

The route was paused in 2020 and 2021 due to the Pandemic and then came back in 2022. The route will be coming back again in the fall of23.

Paris to Saint Pierre flights return in 2023

Between June 19 and September 4, 2023, the flight between Saint Pierre and Miquelon and Paris will return.

The flight will be marketed and sold by Air Saint-Pierre, and will once again be operated by a French airline. There will be a flight on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Paris to Saint Pierre and Miquelon leaves at 4:30PM and arrives at 6:30PM.

The plane is on the ground in Saint Pierre for a long time. The crew can get their rest and operate the flight back the next day, instead of being stuck there for a week.

The airline was able to get a good deal on parking at the airport.

The link between Paris and this French territory is obvious, but it still makes sense that a small territory can support a flight like this. The route was subsidized from the start.

I took this route in the summer of 2018, and I think it is the most interesting one.
