On the first day of the early signing period, Hunter announced that he was following in Deion's footsteps.

It didn't take long for the former No. 1 recruit to make a decision on his next destination after he revealed that he would be entering the transfer portal.

Hunter said in a video on his channel.

When Prime was at Jackson State, I committed to him and I want to stay with him. I learned a lot from him at Jackson State so I'm going to stick with him so I can get to the next level.

The Pro Football Hall of Famer indicated that he planned to bring other top-tier talent with him to revive a Buffaloes squad that finished -11 this season.

Hunter, who was a quarterback at Jackson State, is the latest ex-Tiger to commit to Colorado. On Wednesday, he made his transfer decision official.

Hunter originally committed to Florida State as a high school prospect before changing his mind and committing to Jackson State.

It is reasonable to think that Hunter will play a similar role in Colorado as he did in California.

Hunter was considering Georgia before he committed to Colorado. USC and Miami were trying to get in the race for the speedster.
