Musk once said that if there was an "underlying rationale" he wouldn't give a discount on a new car.
Now, that underlying rationale is probably here, as the company is offering $7,500 credit and 10,000 miles of free supercharging on a new Model 3 and Model Y cars in the US
A discount on some models in China and a $5,000 credit for Model 3 and Model Y cars in Canada are offered by the company.

The federal tax credit for electric vehicles does not quality for a company that ships more than 200,000 cars a year in the U.S. This limitation will be removed on January 1, 2023, meaning that the tax credit may once again be available to the company.
The discount on some cars was already offered by the company. It's been doubled, which indicates that the demand for its cars is not good.
It was reported on Wednesday that the company will lay off more employees next quarter.
