Lake, the election-denying Republican candidate for governor of Arizona, is trying to have her election loss overturned. The judge has already dismissed some of the claims. She is able to make her case on the other two. She is trying to prove that a printer malfunction caused her to lose the election and that ballots were wrongly added. A witness called by Lake to serve as a cybersecurity expert, Clay Parikh, got into a testy exchange with the county's attorney as he was questioned on the first claim. Kari Lake's cyber expert, Clay Parikh, became angry in court when he was pressed to admit that ballots would eventually be counted even if they were printed at the wrong size. According to Parikh, who has spoken at election denial events, there is no way the printer settings could have been changed accidentally.
No one was unable to vote because of printer issues, despite the county acknowledging there were problems. The ballots that could not be read by a tabulator would be duplicated and counted anyways.
If the ballot has to be duplicated once it's printed, would it be counted? Liddy inquired about the witness.
Parikh said that the ballots could not have been printed without the help of humans.
It's not doable. The judge noted that the answer he gave was not responsive to the question.
Is it possible for you to answer the question? Liddy wanted to know.
He couldn't answer.
Liddy asked a different question. Is it possible that duplicated ballots are counted? There will be a general election in the county.
Yes, if they are duplicated correctly and configured correctly.
Liddy wanted to know who paid for Parikh's travel and lodging to speak at an event hosted by the MyPillow guy.
Parikh assumed that would be Mike Lindell. He asked me to speak at the event.
