Amex offers can save you money or give you bonus points for purchases you wouldn't make anyway. There is a great offer currently available for purchases made with the two companies. I wrote about this last week, but it has just been extended for another month, through the end of January.

Spend $15+ with Uber, earn 500 bonus points

You can earn 500 bonus MembershipRewards points when you spend more than 15 dollars with the new Amex offers.

  • Registration is required
  • This is valid for purchases through January 31, 2023
  • You can take advantage of this up to five times, for a total of 2,500 bonus points
  • This offer excludes Uber Freight, Uber One, Uber for Business, Drive with Uber, gift cards, and Lime transactions
Earn bonus Amex points with Uber

This is a great deal. I value 500 Amex Membership rewards points at $8 per point. It is an awesome deal if you get a return of $8.50 on a purchase of at least fifteen dollars.

Purchase of gift cards or credits does not count towards this promotion.

The card that maximizes your return on spending is the one you want to use. The Capital One SavorOne Cash rewards credit card has a partnership with the ride hailing service.

The card is also giving a 10% cash back on purchases made with it. Capital One miles can be converted at the rate of one cent per point. If I valued Capital One miles at 1.7 cents each, I would get a return on that spending of 18%.

There are limited situations in which this makes sense for people with the Capital One SavorOne Cash rewards credit card.

  • If I were spending over $15 and under $50 in one transaction, I’d use this offer, since I’d earn a minimum of 500 points per purchase that way
  • If I were spending over $50 in one transaction, I’d still use the SavorOne Card, since I’d earn over 500 points that way

Bonus points can be earned with the new targeted promotion of the Amex offers program You can get 500 bonus points for every fifteen dollars of purchases. It could be worth it if you are eligible.

Are you going to take advantage of the Amex offers for the two companies?
