A new captain is wearing pinstripes
On Wednesday, the Yankees held a news conference to announce that Judge would be their new captain. Judge becomes the 16th captain in team history, the first since 2003 and the one who held the title for the last two years.
This is an honor that I don't take lightly.

Hal Steinbrenner said it's difficult to imagine the Yankees without their greatest player.
The largest deal in Yankees history was signed by Judge. He decided to return to the team that drafted him in the first round despite receiving offers from the Giants and Padres.
"Signing, drafting and developing a player is a rare position," Cashman said. We're proud to have him back.
The notable guests at the news conference were Hal Steinbrenner, COO Lonn Trost, general manager Brian Cashman and Judge's wife. Willie Randolph was a co-captain of the Yankees from 1986 to 1988.
