The Guardian's systems have been hit by a serious IT incident, which it believes is likely a ransomware attack.
The incident began late on Tuesday and affected parts of the company's IT infrastructure according to The Guardian.
There has been a serious incident which has affected our IT network and systems in the last 24 hours.
Employees have been told to work from home for the rest of the week because of the disruption to services. The company said that it was confident that it could still produce the print newspaper.
It is not clear how The Guardian's systems were compromised, whether data was stolen, or whether it received a demand for money. If a victim doesn't pay a Ransom demand, their data will be published.
The incident doesn't seem to have been claimed by any major group, and it's unclear who is behind it.
When contacted by email, a spokesman for The Guardian wouldn't say anything.
The news organizations have become targets for cyberattacks. The internal systems of Fast Company were hacked in September.
In October, the New York Post was hacked. The company claimed that a rogue employee was to blame for the unauthorized conduct, but wouldn't say what evidence the newspaper had to prove it.
