Scientists think they've found the first case of a mammal being eaten by a dinosaur, which may have been a concern for the fictional characters in the movie.

The foot of a microraptor, a small feathered dinosaur that lived 120 million years ago, is one of the fossils from that time period.

This is the first record of a dinosaur eating a mammal, according to the palaeontologists.

The first author of the study, Dr David Hone from Queen Mary University of London, said that it is rare to find examples of food inside dinosaurs.

We can look back at some of our ancient relatives being eaten by dinosaurs.

The study paints a picture of a fascinating moment in time, the first record of a dinosaur eating a mammal, even if it isn't quite as frightening as a movie about dinosaurs.

The ancient forests of what is now China were home to Microraptors.

Experts think that some species may have been capable of guided flight.

They were large enough to move from tree to tree to prey on small animals.

The specimen was first described more than two decades ago, but the previous team couldn't see the remains of another animal.

A mammal that lived on the ground and was not a good climber was the prey, according to analysis.

Microraptor fossils have preserved non-mammal food in their stomachs.
