Mario said, "Here we go!"

When Super Nintendo World opened at Universal Studios Japan, there were plans to build similar parks in the U.S. There was no timetable for when the lands within the U.S. parks would open, but now that has changed.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD

The Nintendo themed land at Universal Studios Hollywood will open in February of 2023. Guests will be able to become part of a larger Nintendo universe when it happens. Super Nintendo World's official arrival in the U.S. is marked by the land's opening.

What can guests do at Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood?

The main attraction at Super Nintendo World puts you in the driver's seat of a Mario kart race. The latest in augmented reality and projection mapping technology is combined with physical set pieces in a game called "Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge" that takes riders on a multi-sensory adventure through familiar Mario Kart courses on a quest to defeat Team Bowser and win the coveted Golden Cup.

The ride will take guests through the scariest castle on the planet. You can see a collection of life-size Mario Kart trophies when you walk through the stone corridors.

No two rides on the game will be the same. The ride has the potential to re-ride.

The 1-Up Factory, a one-stop shop for Mario collectibles, will be located on the land.

The Power-Up Band is a great item to purchase from the 1-Up Factory. Guests at Super Nintendo World can collect coins and interact with characters with the help of a Power-Up Band.

What about Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando Resort?

We don't have an exact opening date for Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando Resort, but we know that it will be one of the multiple lands at Universal's epic universe.

The project was put on hold for a while because of the Pandemic. The opening of Florida's version of Super Nintendo World is currently scheduled to take place in the summer of 2020.

Although the Pandemic forced theme parks to hit the pause button on new projects, it seems like they have finally removed the cartridges and hit the reset button. We will be able to experience Super Nintendo World in the U.S. in February of 2023 in California and in Florida in the year 2025.
