In the city, everything is not well. There is a relationship between the Chicago Bulls and the player.
According to multiple league sources and sources close to the organization, LaVine and the Bulls are not getting along. Over the past few weeks, there's been a feeling that there's a lack of trust in the Chicago Bulls.
The Bulls have held multiple team meetings to try to work out their issues, and that has included one-on-one, face-to-face sit downs with Lavine and DeMar DeRozan.
On the court, there has been a level of "stylistic tension" that has been visible.
LaVine spoke to Sharania and Mayberry.
People are trying to figure out what they can do to help the ship. We try to put it on each other to fix the ship. We have those types of guys, those types of mentalities, where each of us has been the number one option on the team before, and then we all come together. It won't take a single person. All of us are going to have to work together. Guys are figuring out how to help the group.

The Bulls finished the regular season with an 8-15 record. They lost in the first round of the playoffs after being dropped from the top of the conference.
The team's leading scorer is the same as last season: DeRosa. In his first season with the Bulls, LaVine has seen his scoring average fall to 21.8 points per game, his lowest in a year.
The Bulls have outscored their opponents by 3.6 points per 100 possessions when LaVine is not on the court, but have been outscored by 5.3 points per 100 possessions when he is. A star player is concerned about that trend.
They have a negative net rating when he plays and a worse one when he sits.
"We've got to get out of the mindset of worrying about scoring and how's it going defensively and realizing the ball is in the air," Billy said. If the ball moves and passes someone, they score.
There is something not quite right in Chicago. There is too much talent for the Bulls to be able to do this. It's going to be a long season unless the team learns how to work together.
