Magic Eden exec sees NFT gaming like the ‘early days of mobile gaming’

A new and innovative alternative to the traditional gaming world has arisen as a result of the growth of theBlockchain games. Some market players see an integration of the two areas.

Chris Akhavan, chief gaming officer at MagicEden, said that he was around in the early days of mobile gaming. Traditional gaming companies used to think that mobile games were dumb.

Akhavan said that these gaming conglomerates thought mobile games were small and uninteresting. A lot of the big traditional gaming companies ignored mobile games for the first couple of years and that created opportunities for new mobile gaming companies like King, which is now owned byActivision.

Big gaming companies became hyper focused on the mobile gaming space and began acquiring smaller games to compete.

The same journey is likely to happen in web3 according to Akhavan. Over the last year, there has been billions of dollars invested in new web3 gaming studios and they will lead the charge in creating the ecosystems and showing the true sides of the opportunities.
