Laura said her mother sent her a Christmas card with her divorce information.
She said she has the most passive- aggressive Southern mom.
The note was approved despite being not thrilled.
Every year, Laura's family sends a Christmas card to 500 different families, including a double-sided, single-spaced newsletter update on the family's annual experiences, such as getting a dog, going to Alaska, or getting a divorce.
The recipients received an "immaculate" and "passive- aggressive" update on the divorce in the newsletter portion.
Remember when my mom included all of the details of my divorce in our family Christmas letter? A note detailing the end of her marriage was included on the family's card.
She said that she has the most passive- aggressive Southern mom in the world.
When she realized she wouldn't be married when Christmas came around, she was terrified.
She told viewers that her mom sent her the first draft of the book, which details her ex- husband's indiscretions after he told her he wanted a divorce. She's letting all of our readers know the exact date of our divorce.
As the person that this letter is talking about, I am not happy with this information. Many people don't need to know a lot about me. If I were to receive a letter like this, it would be the best thing that I had ever received. I would make a picture of it.
To give the mailing list, "500 strangers, for the most part, who don't know me from Adam", a bit of holiday joy, she appears to have given her mother the go-ahead.
In a follow-up video, she said her mother was included on the family's Christmas card.
The note said "All seemed well; but unfortunately, it wasn't!" Jake didn't want to be married anymore. He began living as though he was single after declaring that he wanted a divorce. Laura was shocked and upset.
Laura moved back into a garage studio apartment that some good friends of ours graciously offered to her and she gave an update on her career and birthday.
"Mike and I are thankful that she is out of that toxic relationship, and we know that God will carry her through," the note said.
"That's a very long blessing to Jake," said a user. I like it!
"Christmas letters are an art and your mother is the Jane Austen of this art," wrote one person.
She said that her mother had not sent the Christmas card to any of her ex-husband's friends or family because they knew what had happened.
She said it was just what it was. My mom has always written this letter if you are going to behave like that. Better.
Don't treat others badly. I tell my dog that. She says to treat others with kindness and respect. If my rescue dog can do that, you would think that a grown man can too.
