England's Marcus Rashford is one of four first-team stars to have their contracts extended by Manchester United.

David de Gea's contract is due to expire at the end of the season and negotiations are continuing.

The manager said last week that United would be triggering options for Marcus Rashford and other players.

The players would have been able to leave in June.

The case of De Gea is not the same.

It would be on top of the club's agreed salary when they last extended De Gea's contract, which was in 2019.

There is an option for a shorter contract for the Spaniard.

Without an agreement by 1 January, De Gea will not be able to agree pre-contract terms with an overseas club.
